Java Fern (Microrsorum Pteropus) - "Black Forest" Encrusted on 2" Natural BLACK Lava Stone
Small to medium size Java Fern with leaves between 4-5" long
Strong, upright leaf growth with upward pointing tips
Strong stems and leaves emerge from medium size rhizomes
Deeper and darker green veining and leaf texture relative to other varieties
Black Forest has great visual interest as jet black sporangia (reproductive organs) appear in dots on underside of aging leaves as they prepare to reproduce
Deep, dark sporangia are likely the real reason for this variety's name.
Overall height on ‘home’ stone is 3-6”
Overall spread on ‘home’ stone is 4-7”
Similar spread and height create a balanced plant
Lava stones used in this item are naturally organic and inert, natural black/ grey in color and approximately 2" in size
Slow to medium growth rate, very easy care and maintenance
